Reykjavík – Traveling with Taste

The frost gets you. Pizza gets you back.

In April, I flew to Iceland with Molino Polselli – La Farina Italiana. Not as a tourist. As a jury member for Ciociaria&Cucina, invited to judge “Il Contest” – a competition built around pizza, dough, and the craft of baking.

But a journey that wants to become a story can’t stop at the competition.

Before judging the pizzas, I needed to understand the city. The light. The sea. The lava rock. The bakeries where young Icelanders work with quiet discipline. The late-night hot dog eaten without ceremony. The geothermal bread baked by the earth itself.

This ebook is the result of that journey.

What you’ll find inside:

  • First Look: Reykjavík – Hallgrímskirkja, Sun Voyager, Harpa, and the old harbor

  • Everyday Flavors – the famous pylsa, fresh rye bread, and volcanic baking

  • The Contest – thirteen pizza makers, one Italian flour, and a tagline that delivers

  • Blue Lagoon & Restaurant Moss – geothermal waters, Michelin-starred cooking, and a wine cellar full of rare bottles

  • Fish & Chips and Neskja Chocolate – from the harbor’s simplest plate to a young chocolatier’s dream

  • What This Journey Means – respect, connection, and the taste of something real

No ads. No paywall. Just a story.
